The EHS Intern will support our team to achieve our Environment, Health and Safety goals plan.  The intern will have an opportunity to learn how to complete Industrial Hygiene Sampling, conduct Risk Assessments, continue to develop our Onsite Contractor Program and other assigned projects. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• Provide support to EHS Manager with various projects; including machine guarding risk assessment.

• Assist in the development and review of environmental and safety training and policy documents

• Update the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Database

• Assisting with IH sampling/monitoring/compliance for the site

• Support the implementation of our Contractor Management program.

• Contribute to site EHS Committee Meetings

• Conduct New Hire Safety Orientations

• Conduct site safety and environmental inspections

• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor's degree in occupational safety, safety engineering, environmental engineering, or similar field.

• Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, DOT, RCRA and others.
