    Position Description

    Job Summary

    Saint-Gobain has an immediate employment opportunity in the Holly Springs area for an Electrician. This is an opportunity to become part of a family-friendly team, in an expanding company, with room for advancement.  

    **Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday
    Job status: Full-time – Permanent
    **

    Responsibilities:

    • Able to read and understand control panel drawings; required
    • Able to troubleshoot general electrical circuits; required
    • Able to understand 3-phase motor wiring; required
    • Able to understand  NFPA 70-E and OSHA Electrical Safety Procedures; required
    • Able to understand 120/480 VAC power and 24 VDC power; required
    • Able to assemble, test, and maintain circuitry or electronic control panels according to engineering drawings, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronics; required
    • Understanding of UL508A control panel wiring preferred
    • Understanding of PLC and HMI programming is preferred
    • Understanding of Industrial Networking is preferred
    • Following all safety rules and rules as established in the employee handbook
    • Follow standard operating procedures- PM schedules, maintenance work orders, part checkout
    • Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement solutions
    • Check, adjust or replace belts, chains, bearings, photo eyes
    • Monitor critical pieces of equipment, to detect and resolve issues utilizing WCM tools
    • Recognize conditions that could lead to equipment breakdowns
    • Manage wastewater totes
    • Assist in snow and ice removal during winter
    • Maintain good housekeeping of maintenance area and production areas where maintenance work has taken place
    • Support WCM expansion by participating and adhering to requirements as established by equipment/area sustainment boards
    • Operate a fork truck, scissors lift, and boom lift
    • Flexible, open-minded team player

    Required Qualifications

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    • Minimum of an Associate’s degree in an electrical field or equivalent industrial electrical experience

    • Understand three-phase power wiring, run conduit, wire motors, and troubleshoot electrical problems

    • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations to include conversions, weight measurements, volume, and distance

    • Experience with a variety of PLCs, and DCS systems

    • Knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting/repair of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic production machines.

    • Previous work experience in Lean Principles or WCM (World Class Manufacturing)

    • Experience in networking, IIoT, and automation
