    Job Summary

    ROLE

    Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisory Staff, Maintenance Electrician Technicians perform all tasks necessary to test, calibrate, repair, overhaul, maintain, construct, modify or install electrical and automation/controls equipment components and machinery including; laying out, setting up or assembling work for themselves or others. Maintenance Electrician Technicians make verbal, written, and electronic reports of work activity, performing related work as required.

    Working schedule:There are 2 possible schedule options: Shift or Day Time Only (DTO)

    Current vacancies: 1 position on shift and 3 positions on days

    Shift: 12hr rotating; 4on, 4off. MUST be able to work both day and night shifts, 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am.

    The first position that must be filled is the 12hr rotating shift. As the DTO position fill, the least senior technician will move to the rotation shift schedule if the shift technician bids on the DTO position.

    Day Time Only: 7AM – 3:30PM Monday thru Friday.

    Overtime may be required.

    Compensation: $35.00/hour
    ****$5,000 sign-on bonus ($2,000 after successful completion of 90-day introductory period and $3,000 after 6 months) ****

    Job Location: Athens, GA

    JOB DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS

    • 3 to 5 years experience minimum as a licensed electrician preferably in an electrical manufacturing/industrial environment

    • Technical qualification certificate in the electrical and/or controls field.

    • Performs routine electrical maintenance on equipment and determines what maintenance plan is required to resolve the issue.

    • Analyze and solve problems effectively, read blueprints and schematics, and use an array of tools and diagnostic devices to service and install electrical parts.

    • Troubleshoot using Allen Bradley PLCs or equivalent reading ladder logic code, programming is a plus.

    • Experience troubleshooting VFDs, soft starts, motor starters, and safety circuits

    • Experience with relay-based control systems troubleshooting and repairs

    • Capability to perform inspections of electrical systems for damage, defects, or malfunctions and diagnose the proper corrective action necessary to return equipment to basic operating conditions (troubleshooting).

    • Understanding of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems.

    • Applies knowledge of OSHA procedures, particularly Lockout Tag-out and electrical testing.

    • Demonstrated ability to find the root cause of the problem and determine logically the solution to resolve and repair the problem.

    • Good written and oral communication skills.
