The Finance & Accounting Manager will support the Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics (SGPPL) legal entity (business units - Life Sciences, Composites & Mobility) as well as a global ERP Center of Excellence.
Legal entity - Accounting, Reporting & Optimization
Coordinates Month-End Closes & Reforecasts schedules between the BUs and the shared services centers for SG reporting and legal entity assumptions.
Prepares monthly BU tasks/files:
Shared costs allocations
Margins in inventory
Deduction Reports journal entry
Bad Debt
ROI
Securitized AR
Maintains consolidation tool uploads; performs high-level checks ERP to BI to consolidation tool
Supports check run approvals, government reporting, royalties/fees etc.
Compliance
Optimization / Digitalization
ERP COE Controlling & Project Accounting
Creates/maintains project codes;
Completes cost estimations, postings, allocations, accruals for projects
Coordinates with ERP project teams any changes in project scope/timelines; Develops policies/procedures for reviewing/monitoring projects
Supports accounts payable process; ensures vendors and contractors bills are reviewed, approved and paid.
Manages information flow via project reporting tools to ERP, ensuring cost accounting accuracy.
Prepares/Presents monthly analysis of revenues, expenses, & cash flow along with a dashboard of key financial/business metrics.
Prepares monthly analysis of spend vs budget
Leads financial planning/analysis process & annual/quarterly budgeting/forecasting.
Analyzes expense categories for cost containment.
Establishes internal controls, processes & best practices aligned with Saint-Gobain requirements.
Education / Professional Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree - within accounting/finance or related area; Required.
CPA - Preferred.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in corporate financial reporting, controlling, or public accounting, preferably with international exposure; Required.
Advanced skills/expertise within: MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, ERP / Business Intelligence Systems (i.e. QAD, SAP, Oracle Essbase), Sharepoint, MS Teams, O365; Required.
Strong communication and influence skills to effectively collaborate up, down and transversally in a complex organization; Required.
Travel upwards of 10%; Required.
