    Job Summary

    The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for managing employee services / platforms and implementing a wide range of Human Resources initiatives. This responsibility includes, but is not limited to HRIS projects and maintenance, Payroll, Employee Relations, Recruiting, training coordination, and managing key projects as it relates to improving HR systems and processes. The position is employee facing and employee service oriented. The incumbent also participates in and coordinates various employee relations efforts, benefits programs and be counted on to contribute using various methods of HR analysis and HR reporting. The HR Generalist provides HR support to Thin Films NAM. This position reports to the HR Manager and plays an important role with assisting both the function and managers to achieve business goals and objectives.

    Required Qualifications

    Essential Functions of the Position: Employee Relations - Provides employee assistance covering a variety of issues to ensure that the employee’s needs & questions are addressed in a timely manner. Will participate and provide support for the investigation and of employee complaints and policy violation including implementation of disciplinary actions. Advises managers regarding resolution of work relationship conflicts corrective action process and company policies. HRIS/PeopleSoft - Responsible for HRIS/PeopleSoft activity and data integrity and / or additionally managing other complimentary to service digital platforms e.g., UKG, Equifax, Hire Right, Silk Road (Onboarding portal), MOOV recruiting portal, OC Tanner. Also responsible for businesses updates/changes when required including new hires, transfers, voluntary and involuntary terminations as well as other topics and projects. Research, gather, analyze, verify data to provide specifically requested information to Finance, Managers, and others as needed, etc. utilizing reporting tools available through Kronos & PeopleSoft. Benefits - Coordinate & facilitate Benefits programs for all employees including: • Annual open enrollment • Live-Well programs throughout the year • Administration of Disability Plan - Coordinate with Sedgwick to ensure timely processing of payments • Administer mandated & SG discretionary LOA and Workers Comp programs. • Prepares internal employee communication to support the activities above. Payroll – Primary payroll contact for Thin Films NAM. Ensure timely submittals, data accuracy and verification of time entries in UKG (time management system) for all hourly/non-exempt staff. Act as primary contact for Single Point of Entry (SPOE) processing in the business. Recruiting - Participate in recruitment activities including job postings (internal and external), recruitment, prescreen, & interviewing job applicants for roles while making strategic use of the tools and resources available to SG including MOOV/Silk Road, community organizations, professional groups, etc. Projects - Lead and manage key projects to improve the HR function. Coordinate group training and facilitate sessions when required. Consult with HR Manager to develop, recommend, and implement approved programs that support business needs. Writes & recommends procedural revisions to instructions/policies for programs requiring HR involvement. Compliance – Monitors internal and external compliance requirements and ensures adherence where applicable. Including but not limited to EEO/AA/ADA/FMLA/I9. Essential Requirements for the Position: Education- Bachelor’s Degree in Business/HR OR equivalent experience providing necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the functions of the position. (required) Experience- 3+ years' experience in a Human Resource role (required) Licenses/Certifications- PHR/SHRM-CP (preferred), PHRca (preferred)

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $66,900.00 to $103,500.00 per year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $73,590.00 to $113,850.00. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
