Industrial Controls Technician
POSITION SUMMARY
The Control Technician will assist with the development and implementation of World Class Manufacturing (WMC) projects, production, processing methods and controls while supporting operations and mentoring maintenance personnel. Will provide leadership in the implementation and support of Plant Automation, Electrical and Database systems. The Automation Technologist provides support across a broad range of subjects with focus on hydraulics, PLC programming / troubleshooting, and automation programming / troubleshooting. This position will assist on all maintenance repairs and services. They also would provide assistance with the day-to-day training of the maintenance departmental personnel, while being able to address and evaluate any unforeseen tasks that may arise with little or no guidance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Participate in training regarding maintenance related topics including safety, electricity, fluid power, fabrication, equipment specific training. Develop and execute training for maintenance employees with a focus on developing new skills.

FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
Assists in maintaining set parameters and makes recommendations for budgetary expenditures.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Works in a manufacturing plant environment with exposure to dust, chemicals, temperature changes and noise. Plant is a 24-hour, 7 day a week operation and work hours may vary depending on business needs. Occasional long hours and weekend and holiday work may be required. May travel as needed, usually via airplanes and rental cars.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to spend significant amount of time on plant floor. Job requires bending, stooping, climbing, entering confined spaces, navigating rough terrain and infrequent lifting of up to 50lbs. Must be able to wear mandated personal protective equipment per areas accessed.
