Job Summary
CertainTeed Corporation has immediate openings for Maintenance Mechanics at our Kansas City, KS plant.
The starting pay is $31.39/hour, and the rotating schedule is as follows:
- Work Saturday - Friday (7 days) 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM (1st shift)
- Off Saturday - Tuesday (4 days)
- Work Wednesday - Tuesday (7 days) 11:30 PM - 7:30 AM (3rd shift)
- Off Wednesday - Thursday (2 days)
- Work Friday - Thursday (7 days) 3:30 PM - 11:30 PM (2nd shift)
- Off Friday (1 day)
- Repeat schedule
Qualified applicants will have prior proven ability to:
Maintain a safe and clean work area
Install, calibrate, repair, overhaul, maintain, construct, modify and install equipment and components
Maintain, repair, and modify building infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic/pneumatic systems (airlines, solenoids)
Inspect, diagnose, and implement corrective actions on equipment and building systems
Review blueprints/technical drawings and work orders in order to install, troubleshoot, and repair
Perform preventative maintenance
Install, adjust, repair, modify machinery, controls, rigging, and installation equipment
Demonstrate knowledge of applicable ‘code’ requirements as may pertain to equipment/buildings
Work independently
A written skill/knowledge test is administered prior to employment offers.
Required Qualifications
High School or Technical Diploma
2-4 years' manufacturing experience
Experience working ALL SHIFTS
Able to work OT as needed
