Essential Job Functions:
Analyze and solve problems effectively, read blueprints and schematics and use an array of tools and diagnostic devices to service and install electrical parts.
Troubleshoot, program, and maintain Allen Bradley PLCs using ladder logic code
Experience troubleshooting VFDs, soft starts, motor starters and safety circuits
Understanding of electrical, mechanical, pneumatics and hydraulic control systems.
Experience with relay based control systems troubleshooting and repairs.
Plan layout, install, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures and control equipment such as switches, relays and circuit breaker panels, using hand tools and power tools, according to specifications.
Applies knowledge of OSHA procedures, particularly Lockout Tag-out and electrical testing.
Performs routine electrical maintenance on equipment and determines what maintenance plan is required to resolve issue.
Maintain various PLC programs related to industrial equipment.
Qualifications and Skills:
Requires at least 3 years’ experience as a licensed electrician preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Must hold a valid Massachusetts State Electrician’s license.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to find the root cause of the problem and determine logically the solution to resolve and repair the problem.
Ability to work within a team environment servicing departments within the organization.
