Machine Operator (Torch/Spray Dry/Milling)

Position Description

Job Summary

This position will be a 12 hour shift with a work pattern of 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, and 3 days off over a 2 week period.

We offer a sign on bonus after 90 days.  All employees are eligible for a performance based bonus program that pays up to 10% of your annual salary.  Benefits are eligible from Day 1.  Saint-Gobain also provides multiple forms of retirement such as a pension program and a matching 401K.

Key Responsibilities:

• Weigh materials per the specifications set for each batch.

• Feed material into the various production machinery.

• Ability to make in-process adjustments based on information (temp, flow, etc.)

• Must be able to blend batches needed to spray dry or other processing.

• Load raw material into machine and set up to run. Then monitor the batch.

• Mainly work independently, but as part of a team.

• Verify correct items have been picked before adding to the batch.

• Operate forklift to move material as required.

• Accurately and completely fill out paperwork as needed.

• Perform pre-shift preparation and ensure that all surfaces that will contact product (piping/vessels) are sanitized and ready for operation.

• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble equipment as needed during wash-ups.

• Clean and sanitize room areas as needed.

• Follow batch sheet without deviation while mixing product.

• Read daily production schedule and process orders in the established sequence. Complete all paperwork in a timely manner and turn in to appropriate personnel, fill out work orders as needed

• Complete electronic and written production reporting.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED/equivalent preferred

• Previous experience working in a manufacturing facility preferred

• Team player

• Strong work ethic and organizational skills

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted
