Maintenance Electrician

Position Description

Job Summary

Primary Functions:
Responsible for preventative maintenance tasks on industrial machinery, maintain industrial equipment as necessary
and support production as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect equipment and components for damage and wear utilizing gauges, measuring devices and experience to determine any necessary actions.
• Troubleshoot and repair automated control systems and electrical installations.
• Repair, adjust or replace pumps and supporting equipment.
• Use general shop and hand tools.
• Assist line mechanics and as necessary when needed to support production including all of the above listed tasks and other means of support as needed.
• Respond to unexpected after hour call outs for repair and support.
• Must be forklift and golf cart certified.
• Maintain quality service by following organization standards.
• Maintain 5-S standards and housekeeping.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and teams.
• Follow all safety training and documents for this site.
• Ensure optimum operations of equipment by reporting needed maintenance.
• Report any and all quality related issues to the Supervisor.
• Work with maintenance in finding issues with the machine(s).
• Meet department’s key objectives.
• Participate in Company Safety program.
• Must understand and follow job specific SOP’s.

Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned consistent with the non-exempt functions.

Qualifications:

 Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions in English.
 Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
 Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees at all levels of
the organization.
 Ability to recognize quality expected and be able to reproduce it.
 Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
 Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.
 Must maintain a positive rating as described in the training/qualification evaluation record as a Maintenance
Electrician.
 Must have the ability to read, write, and perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job
performance.
 Hand-eye coordination.  

Required Qualifications

Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Two (2) or more years of experience as an Industrial Electrician in a manufacturing environment.

• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, measuring devices, and industrial machinery.

• Any appropriate combination of academic and work experience.

• Must complete associated four (4) week training program(s)
