The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for the repair, maintenance and documenting performed work of manufacturing production machines, support equipment and site mechanical/electrical building systems. In this role you will lead through hands on Maintenance Performance and in addition, will train and coach the Focus Factory Manufacturing Technician 1’s and 2’s performing maintenance activities and document work performed, focusing on safe work practices including LOTO, inspecting, maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting and the timely performance of preventive maintenance of all mechanical equipment and electrical systems, including precision machine tooling, PLC’s, variable speed dives, control panel circuitry, high temperature ovens, facility power and HVAC systems. In addition, coach and train operators on Autonomous Maintenance and document work performed. You are expected to be the subject matter expert as it relates to the equipment in your assigned Focus Factory.
The pay range for the role is $27.00 - $34.00 per hour.
At least 1 year PLC Certification or practical experience or Exposure during CEU course required
Observe and enforce all safety rules, working conditions and habits of employees
Perform preventative maintenance (PM) activities as well as coach and train the Focus Factory Manufacturing Technicians in the completion of PM activities, at least one per shift
Document usage of spare parts inventory relating to all production and facilities equipment
Set high expectations for yourself and Focus Factory Manufacturing Technicians responding to operations troubleshooting requests via work orders, phone calls, paging and email communications
Ensure all work orders are closed and follow-up to improve reliability effectiveness
Ensure you perform together with Focus Factory Manufacturing Technician 1’s and 2’s at beginning of their respective shifts to conduct Rounds focusing on Safety Related issues. Entering items into Gensuite as needed.
Work with Engineering to document PM’s for new equipment
Associates Degree in an automation/maintenance program required, however, will consider 1-3 years demonstrated experience performing in similar role in lieu education
5+ years of hands-on manufacturing environment experience in a manufacturing environment required
Able to operate stationary and handheld power tools, forklifts, man-lifts
Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills to minimize the down time of production equipment.
Possess the desire to not only understand how equipment performs but also learn the process requirements of the production equipment.
Ability to handle multiple priorities, have strong math and software systems operations skills.
Ability to comprehend documentation in SolidWorks or AutoCAD, schematics and wiring diagrams as well as a thorough knowledge of circuit theory.
Trouble shooting and ability to lead root cause analysis to resolve equipment operation problems with limited system descriptions.
Possess strong organization skills and present problem statements and solutions logically
Possess a strong desire to apply the philosophy of “continuous improvement” and safety in all areas.
Able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
Excellent communications skills, written & verbal.
