    Role: Maintenance Technician 

    • 1st  Shift: Monday – Friday 6:00 AM - 02:30 PM

    • Pay: $28/hr +

    • Openings: 1

    • 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

    • Pay: $28/hr + plus $2 shift differential

    • Openings: 1

    The  Maintenance Technician will repair manufacturing equipment and complete routine preventative maintenance to minimize manufacturing down-time. This is a highly impactful role responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems, as well as facilities equipment/grounds. They will also be responsible for monitoring building/environmental management system, installing equipment, maintaining inventory for replacement parts, and keeping the maintenance shop and tools organized. The incumbent will also be responsible for conducting contractor safety training and supervising maintenance and facility contractors as assigned.

    • Repair, inspect and test machinery and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation

    • Primary resource to perform hands-on maintenance tasks according to set maintenance priorities including repairing and troubleshooting all process equipment and systems for the facility

    • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance

    • Detect malfunctions and ensure the correct machine operation is being performed

    • Proactively works with site production and engineering personnel towards safe and timely issue resolution, to improve equipment reliability and minimize equipment downtime

    • Maintains accurate maintenance records and recommendations for further action and assists with shutdown task planning and scheduling.

    • Document maintenance activities and file records as expected

    • Must conduct LOTO and follow proper Saint-Gobain standards and procedures

    • Conduct site safety orientation and permits for contractors

    • Monitor contractor activities to ensure adherence to Saint-Gobain safety standards, and that work is completed according to defined scope/permit

    • Will administer and monitor contractor scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities

    • Responsible for the repair and maintenance of facility and grounds to all safety and compliance standards, including city, state, federal, Saint-Gobain, or Landlord requirements

    Required Qualifications

    • High School Diploma / GED Certificate
    • 1 year of Industrial Maintenance Experience
    • Knowledge Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, and HVAC equipment/systems
    • Working safely with power tools and measuring devices
    • Read and interpret technical documents, manuals, specifications, and drawings
    • Basic computer literacy and technical writing skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Associate’s Degree in Maintenance or Engineering

    • or Degree from a Technical School

    • 3 years of Industrial Maintenance

    • 1 year of Forklift and/or Aerial lift experience

    Additional Description

    Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. The local pay range for this position is $21.06 to $32.65 per year. The hourly pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. The budgeted starting rate is $28.00.

    In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary, based on company and individual performance measures. The total target cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $49,499.42 to $76,736.80
