The Manager, Shared Services Business Intelligence is a well-rounded individual with the ability to leadthe business intelligence initiatives strategically, operationally, analytically, and resourcefully.
This position is responsible for developing and preparing strategies for Finance Shared Services (FSS) Business Intelligence (BI) including data governance, data quality management, and analytical capabilities by supporting and implementing solutions that leadto insightful analytics, make predictions, or generate recommendations. The BI Manager focuses on the performance of specific vendors providing Finance and Accounting Services (F&A) to the Saint-Gobain North America (SGNA) Shared Service organization, including planning, directing, and coordinating and operational aspects of BI and the sourcing agreement including reporting on key metrics, and building a highly collaborative relationship with vendors and internal stakeholders.
This leadership role shall work closely withthe Director to ensure alignment withthe business strategy and delivering the expected outcomes and results to the overall organization. The incumbent is responsible for leadingand managing BI initiatives, BI reporting, analyzing data and data exploration, strategic insights, and delivering actionable information that help Shared Services make informed business decisions.
This role is accountable for data reporting, managing vendor management processes and supporting the FSS Organization in the following key areas:
This position is responsible for collaborating with both the in-house Shared Service staff,the Providers team (Shared Services) and the Saint-Gobain D&A teams (US and Paris-based).
DATA ANALYTICS AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT
MANAGERIAL ROLE
Provide leadership while engaging in a collaborative partnership with Shared Services and the Performance Management team.
Manage BI performance management for in-house shared services team. Effectively communicate individual and team performance expectations.
Mitigate coverage issues through cross-training and succession planning.
Responsible for training users to transform data into action-oriented information and to use correctly.
What do you bring?
BS Business Administration/Accounting/Data Science, Advanced Degree preferred.
10+ years of Business Intelligence and/or Data Analytics including multiple years leading Business Intelligence Initiatives and Projects
High level of experience with Data Visualization, multiple DBMS, Data Warehouse, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, JIRA and BI tools (PowerBI, QlikView, etc), SAP, Medius, BlackLine, QuickBase
Confidence and ability to work independently on projects end-to-end, primarily those with medium-term issues (monthly to quarterly).
Experienced in collecting, organizing, and tracking requirements
Excellent analytical skills, especially pertaining to data analysis.
Must have excellent oral and written skills being able to communicate effectively on both a technical and business level.
Must have experience with gathering requirements and working with technical staff to develop system designs.
Excellent understanding of relational database concepts and data warehousing concepts are required
Proven ability to create reports from existing databases, data lake, data mart and non-relational data sources and reconciling data across multiple source systems.
Experience developing, maintaining, and enhancing dashboards using Power BI and other BI tools
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to develop concise and effective presentations tailored to specific audiences
Strong relationship building and collaboration skills, especially in cross-functional teams
Comfort in a dynamic, fast-moving, Agile, and matrix work environment
Work within the change control process to document and update changing system requirements.
Ensure all stakeholders are informed appropriately of progress within the program/project
Ability to work independently as the senior analyst and subject matter expert, with strength in coaching and educating others effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal effectiveness; Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization as well as an offshore Service Provider; able to support and influence decisions and execute strategy.
Demonstrated ability to oversee and guide multiple initiatives within functional area. Ensure overall company values and objectives are being upheld.
Ability to provide clear and concise verbal or written communications to all levels of management and team members, in a clear, open and transparent way.

Experience serving Internal Customers and working with Statements of work (SOW) while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Advanced management skills required to manage large operations in multiple sites, with a highly diversified portfolio of business units with significantly different operations and accounting systems.
