We are NOW seeking an experienced Manufacturing IT Support Technician to join our IT department!
What’s the job?
The Manufacturing IT Support Technician will be responsible for providing primary IT support to various manufacturing applications throughout the business and lead efforts with troubleshooting and preventative maintenance for those systems. They will also assist the Business Systems team with vendor relations (both internal and external) and work closely with the Operations and Engineering departments. This position offers a great opportunity to learn and develop key on the job IT skills.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for primary support of Manufacturing IT systems (MES, ERP, Production Network Systems, Custom Apps)
Lead efforts to troubleshoot IT issues alongside Operations and Engineering teams
Provide on call support for major production issues regarding Manufacturing IT systems
Manage process and schedule for production computer backups
Escalate to other Business Systems team members or outside vendors if they cannot fix/understand the issue
Facilitate communication between SAGE and outside vendors in regards to Manufacturing IT equipment (production machines, workstations, MES systems)
Work closely with internal corporate IT services to assist in onsite work and projects
Maintain inventory of all internal technology-related assets (laptops/monitors/etc.)
Generate documentation for various Manufacturing IT systems
Train Operations, Engineering, and Quality team members on use of Manufacturing IT systems
Work with both internal teams and outside vendors to develop improvements to existing IT systems
Manage testing of developments within the various DEV/TEST environments for existing IT systems
What do you bring?
High School Diploma required
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred
3+ years experience working with and troubleshooting PC/networking environments and systems is required
3+ years experience with various manufacturing applications MES/ERP/SCADA is preferred
3+ years experience working in a Manufacturing Environment (Glass Preferred)
Reliable and effective problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Experience with databases and data storage technologies such as Oracle, MySQL, Postgres is a plus
Experience with networking concepts such as Routing, Switching, VLAN, TCP/IP, and DHCP preferred
Knowledge of internal IT ticketing systems (Jira, AzureDesk, etc.) helpful
