    Job Summary

    This position will work 5th shift, Saturday and Sunday 10:30am - 10:30pm, plus two 8hr shifts during the week to equal 40 hours

    The Material Handler moves and tracks physical material flow throughout the facility. This role will work closely with Production Leads to ensure each Focus Factory is supplied with needed materials to allow for the efficient operation of equipment to meet daily safety, quality, and production goals. This role is essential and must report to work on each scheduled day and assist with other duties assigned by Supervisor as needed.

    Responsibilities:

    Material Handlers will work on individual projects that center around 5S, organizing and site improvements.

    This position is responsible for:

    • Warehouse Organization and Upkeep

    • Collecting and taking out garbage, recycling culls and other materials

    • Deliver liquid and compounded silicone, color and inserts to production

    • Chemical handling

    • Stock supplies in gowning rooms, pass-through and cleanrooms

    • Measure and issue materials to work orders

    • Investigate material discrepancies, perform inventory checks

    • Support area and plant cycle counting

    • Participate in site wide inventory

    • Driving fork truck to support warehouse needs which include

    • Putting materials away

    • Moving materials around to best utilize space

    • Loading and Unloading deliveries

    • Complete daily shift report

    • Other duties as assigned

    Required Qualifications

    The selected candidate:

    • Must be able to lift up to 50#’s
    • Prefer some knowledge in QAD or other ERP systems
    • Must be proficient with computer skills (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)              
    • Prefer knowledge of ISO, GMP, and FDA requirements
    • Must be a strong team player
    • Possess excellent attendance

    Warehouse experience is desired but willing to train the right candidate who can work in a fast paced stressful environment, quick to learn, able to multi-task and is very detail oriented**.  This role requires having a strong team attitude who can perform their job and stay on track with minimal to no supervision.  This individual will have heavy interactions with the other team members working in the warehouse but will also collaborate with all departments throughout the Portage, WI site.**
