    The Mechanical Engineer will support and optimizes production efficiencies and is responsible for establishing process capabilities.

    In this role, the employee woks in a team environment utilizing Saint-Gobain's WCM program tools to complete analysis and identify gaps within the plant to meet and improve KPI's and Operational Performance Indicators.

    The Engineer will also be involved in qualification activities on new equipment and process changes. The candidate will understand and support safety and ergonomic improvement activities, build new equipment, perform preventative maintenance and repairs.

    Required Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical degree required.
    Master's degree, technical degree or equivalent a plus.

    Experienced engineers or new graduates with some engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

    • Mechanical aptitude and interest/experience in the manufacturing process.

    • Understanding of machines and mechanical systems.

    • High degree of analytical and critical thinking, independent judgement and discretion.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to facilitate team meetings.

    Additional Description

    Additional skills required:

    • Mechanical and part design experience.

    • AutoCAD, Solidworks, 3D design and printing
