Entry level position - will train dependable person! 

Pay range $17-$20/hour, compensation determined based upon experience

Saint-Gobain in Merrimack, New Hampshire has an immediate opening for a 1st shift Receiver.     

Our Receiver handles the receiving of items to the plant from external sources.   Ensures shipments are visually inspected to check for obvious damage, sorted and distributed/stored to various inventory storage areas or office area.  Ensures transactions are correctly recorded in the ERP system. Performs and operates job functions with safety, quality and efficiency in mind and in accordance with specific process sheets and operational parameters.  Must have excellent attention to detail, is responsible for the overall quality of the items received and data entry for receiving.

  • Unload/receive products/materials and supplies from trucks according to SOPs, work instructions, ICRF guidelines and/or direction from supervisor
  • Verify counts, perform a paperwork match to items received, and verify packing list accuracy
  • Interface with internal customers
  • Deliver non-inventory items to office personnel
  • Understanding of Q.C. requirements and specifications as they pertain to the receiving process
  • Working knowledge of label software and computer system data entry and retrieval
  • Troubleshooting to resolve process problems
  • Knowledge of overhead crane, packaging and basic woodworking (working with crates)
  • Knowledge of receiving procedures for all Saint-Gobain products
  • Generate labels for inventory items
  • Deliver raw materials to appropriate manufacturing department or assigned storage area
  • Maintain necessary records as required by SOPs and work instructions
  • Visually observe, troubleshoot, and report non-conformance condition (either product or process) to supervisor, or manager as required
  • Acquires basic understanding of product quality and process control parameters
  • Acquires knowledge of basic environmental handling

Work Environment:

  • Production environment with regular exposure to noise and dust
  • May be exposed to cold  and/or hot temperatures at times

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to climb a ladder/stairs, be comfortable at heights, operate equipment that is in constant motion, use of both hands at working height and periodic use above head

  • Ability to stand/walk, particularly for sustained periods of time

  • Ability to lift/move a minimum of 50 pounds repeatedly

  • Must be able to obtain forklift certification 

Required Qualifications

  • Strong reading, comprehension, math, troubleshooting and computer skills
  • Ability to detect defects in material and take appropriate corrective action
  • Ability to complete documentation properly, on-time and error free
  • Detail oriented
  • Good to great attendance 
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures, treat others with dignity and respect, and open-minded
  • Willing and able to cross-train in other areas according to business needs
  • Strong sense of accountability, integrity, teamwork, pride and ownership in your work
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, active participant in change and process improvement
  • Prefer - 1 + years experience working in an ISO manufacturing environment
  • Prefer - 1 + years machine operator experience
