    | | | --- | | The Reliability Engineer will be responsible for investigating and problem-solving plant reliability issues utilizing World Class Manufacturing (WCM) techniques and principles.  This position will support the maintenance department in the rationalization, planning, scheduling, and at times execution of maintenance activities to drive improved, sustainable plant reliability in a manner consistent with CertainTeed Roofing’s Objectives. The Reliability Engineer will also provide leadership in the implementation and support of plant process modifications for Roofing operations as required. | | - Identifying new opportunities and solutions with cost/ benefit analysis and making recommendations to improve efficiencies.<br>- Revising and maintaining existing processes; developing and implementing WCM projects, managing and guiding contractors, consultants, and suppliers.<br>- Assist in automation training of technicians, associated automation troubleshooting, and reduction in mean time to repair automation failures.<br>- Provides input into planning and scheduling of projects and preparing expense & capital expenditures.<br>- Responsible for planning, evaluating, organizing, and implementing assigned installation, maintenance and repair activities and coordinating with other departments to assure minimum downtime for production and maximum safety of employees.<br>- Performs failure modes and effects analysis and implements sustainable countermeasures on losses related to downtime.<br>- Progressively improves the Professional Maintenance status of all equipment on a prioritized basis using WCM techniques and ensures sustainability of completed improvements by the maintenance team. <br>- Collaborates with Plant Resources (ex: Maintenance, Engineering, Production) to develop a Preventive Maintenance program that drives improved reliability.<br>- Interacts with plant and corporate personnel to secure appropriate resources to plan and implement projects and to coordinate any proposed changes.<br>- Develops and implements standard operating and maintenance procedures, and work instructions.<br>- Ensures full documentation of all projects and systems to WCM and/or Project Management Office (PMO) standards.<br>- Support and develop maintenance tasks for the Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), SAP.<br>- Supports Autonomous Maintenance through training of operators and ensuring that equipment basic conditions are maintained. Provides training for operators and maintenance personnel.<br>- Analyzes / stratifies accurate data and information from records to prepare reports, statistics, etc. in support of continuous improvement of reliability.<br>- Continuously evaluates workplace for safety concerns and ensures behavioral safety initiatives are performed to goal levels.<br>- Assures good housekeeping practices following 5S systems, enforces plant rules and safety regulations, and supports WCM initiatives.<br>- Research, purchase, inventory, logistics and maintenance of Bill of Materials within the scope of reliability projects. |

    Required Qualifications

    What do you bring?

    • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or equivalent experience.

    • 3+ years’ experience as a Reliability Engineer or similar (preferred)

    • 3+ years’ experience repairing and troubleshooting plc and electrical equipment (Siemens and AB preferred)

    • Professional experience in a continuous process manufacturing environment.

    • Experience with P&ID, Equipment Layout Drawings, design optimization & troubleshooting.

    • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement toolsets.

    • Excellent problem-solving capabilities and the ability to work independently on assigned tasks.

    • Flexible and open-minded with strong written and oral communication skills.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

    • Experience working with a CMMS (SAP Preferred).
