    Position Description

    Job Summary

    This position is responsible for a full range of account management activities associated with developing, expanding, and servicing production facilities in Iowa. Account base has significant competitive potential in many industries including tool manufacturing, foundries, trailer manufacturers, general metal fabrication and agricultural products.

    This position will have responsibility for selling all abrasive products under the Norton brand name. This territory is ripe with opportunities. Collaboration with our distributor partners is critical and must be a focus to succeed in this territory. This includes planning, joint sales calls and hands-on training.

    Territory accounts can be demanding and require strategic, focused planning and execution. The candidate must be as comfortable working with a machine operator and testing an abrasive product as they are presenting a growth plan to a large multi-national corporation and/or a company president.

    This is a high-profile territory within the Saint-Gobain organization that will give the salesperson visibility within the sales organization and provide ample opportunity for sales success and promotion into larger positions.

    Required Qualifications

    Interested candidates should have 3+ years of proven sales growth managing an array of large accounts and industrial distribution.

    A strong technical aptitude is required for learning new products and abrasive applications.

    Candidate must be organized, disciplined, and have effective time and territory management skills.

    An undergraduate degree in business or engineering is desired however other degrees will be considered as will commensurate experience.

    This position requires a person who is highly motivated, team oriented and is capable of managing a complex sales territory with limited supervision.

    Proficiency in Microsoft office, Salesforce, web applications, contact management and other forms of data analysis is necessary.
