    What’s the job?

    Accountable for the identification of Human Resources needs for +200-person client groups both in manufacturing operations (Quakertown) as well as SPG Salaried employee population. You will build strong partnerships with management and all employees to deliver value-added HR service, and best practices that align with the Company’s VMVO (Vision, Mission, Values, and Objectives). With an HR consultative mindset, you will guide managers and employees on HR related issues and assist management on make informed business decisions to foster growth, influence innovation and change, and promote teamwork to develop an engaged workplace culture. You will also be responsible to promote our SPG HR department’s vision and strategy to your respective management and employees and develop a broad range of integrated HR solutions including our WCM (World Class Manufacturing) people development strategies and initiatives. Assist HRD for SPG wide strategical HR projects in meeting the BU’s MWBs, develop project milestones, plans and teams in achieving the goals of each project. 

    Skills You Need:
    Project Management – Develop and implement project plans that encompass all aspects of the human resources (HR) function, such as recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations in alignment with the BU’s MWBs. Monitor and manage the progress of HR projects, addressing any issues that arise and ensuring deadlines are met. Liaise between the HR team and other departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration on projects. Provide project status reports to stakeholders on a regular basis. Organize and attend project meetings, workshops, and other events.

    Organizational/People Development/Culture – Partners with Client Managers to identify/address organizational needs through assessment, development and training, team development, coaching and ongoing communication strategies. Advice and counsel Managers and Supervisors on performance management. Ensures the management of HR strategies align with the plants’ & division’s business objectives and initiatives to deliver HR solutions to meet managers’ and employees’ needs and requirements. Provides HR consultation and advice on all HR plant objectives, strategies, and business initiatives, drives culture change management as a change champion for salaried management employees and hourly employees. Provide effective leadership, coaching and direction to the direct reports, while fostering a career development environment. Develops HR partnerships with management and employees to promote a positive and effective safety culture within the plants. Works closely with management and employees to improve and influence working relationships, and creates a culture of employee engagement, building morale, promoting diversity, and increasing productivity and performance through an engaged workforce. Management of all employee engagement activities within areas of responsibility, partners with management to attract, recruit, develop and retain diverse talent in the organization, and assist with all employee onboarding initiatives. Identifies and conducts training needs for business units and individual management and leadership coaching needs including evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.

    Employee Relations – Educating leaders on requirements company policies and guidelines. Fosters positive relationships to promote positive working environment and employee engagement. Manages and provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management regarding employee relations.
    Recruiting – Partners with Respective Leadership to staff to present/forecasted manning plan. Oversees recruiting activities to include vetting candidates, coordinating/participating in site interviews, and integrating new employees through orientation/onboarding activities.

    Wage and Salary – Oversees the performance and wage review process for the site. Conducts wage surveys as required to evaluate possible pay equity issues. Works with HR Director to evaluate wage scales conducive to job requirements. Partners with site to ensure that site job descriptions are current and are properly banded to reflect proper pay grade.

    What do you bring?

    Qualifications

    •  Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field.

    •  7 -10 years’ of HR experience as a generalist with project management experience, 3-5 years of HR management experience preferably within an industrial manufacturing organization

    •  Organizational development/effectiveness, employee relations, performance management, and change management.

    •  Demonstrated knowledge of HR processes, systems, and best practices

    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

    •  Strong understanding of project management methodology

    • Proven experience with budgeting and cost management

    • Ability to work independently and with teams

    •  Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems

    • Highly developed and innovative critical thinking skills with the ability to conceptualize, analyze and problem solve within a fast paced, multi-tasking environment, accompanied by a strong initiative and self-motivation.

    • Ability to effectively promote diversity, appreciating that different opinions, backgrounds and characteristics that bring richness, growth, innovation, and engagement to the Company.

    • Flexible, open-minded team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • The position requires 30-35% of travel to Quakertown Facility.
