We are hiring a Senior Process Engineer to work alongside our talented Engineering Team!
What’s the job?
The Senior Process Engineer will facilitate stability and growth of our process blocks, and will be responsible for the performance, uptime and optimization of glass processing and transport equipment. In addition, they will be involved in the strategy of the department and function as an informal leader. The position is on-site, and the candidate will be primarily working on the first shift, but also required to work after hours or weekends as necessary.
Essential Functions:
Ensuring equipment performance is within specification and in control during operation
Facilitate and own troubleshooting efforts as issues arise; at times as part of a cross functional team
Optimization and strategy of process yield and uptime
Monitors and implements continuous improvement of control plans and operating procedures as needed
Monitoring of process parameters and completion of SPC charts
Understands and can lead process capabilities through critical data analysis and in depth understanding of the product
Leadership of preventative maintenance activities including documentation, training and spare parts requirements
Overseeing the strategy and implementation safety initiatives in their process area
Statistical analysis of data to drive process improvements
Improvement of standard work and maintenance instructions
Training of operators and maintenance technicians
Planning and execution of future improvements
What do you bring?
Bachelor’s Degree in manufacturing, electrical, mechanical, or related engineer field is required
Master's Degree in a relevant field preferred
At least 10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing required
Strong analytical and statistical background
Experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment
Works well under pressure and is a creative thinker
Flexible, can-do attitude
Self-Motivator and willing to learn
