Position Summary: The primary responsibility of the Sr. Part Create Specialist is to support the Manager, Master Data, to maintain data integrity of the material master for all North American Coated, Thin Wheel, CPD, Adhesives and System Component products across all brands and markets. This role will interact with multiple teams within North America as well as globally to ensure consistency. This includes both creating new parts and maintaining/correcting existing parts. This position provides leadership to the part create team in its daily functions and supports ongoing projects to maintain business requirements. Essential Duties: Part Create Team: -Oversees the logging, tracking, and processing of all requests received which includes creating and maintaining accurate data within SAP. This includes individual product and mass product updates. -Conducts root cause analysis, seeks resolution and prevention on data integrity issues. Takes initiative and proposes alternate solutions when required to resolve inconsistencies and justify best actions to take. -Conducts routine follow-up audit activities to ensure compliance to standards and regularly consults marketing, pricing, product management and manufacturing to ensure data is aligned with the business strategy. -Supports product management and marketing with new product launches in addition to product portfolio updates. -Support organizations across North America (i.e., Customer Service, Manufacturing, Product Management, Production Control, Finance, Marketing, Quality, Affiliates, etc.) in identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues. Create awareness and illustrate best-practices to manage data for current and future business objectives. -Promotes a change culture to streamline and automate processes both within the part create team and in supporting areas to create efficiencies. AION: -Supports AION requirements by reviewing and managing tables in a timely manner to address errors and prevent future errors. -Seeks opportunities for potential products to be added to AION for all North American sites. TRAINING: -Creates, maintains, and distributes documentation for the Material Master team to use in day-to-day activities. This includes documents used within the team and promotes best practices for support teams that interact with the material master team. -Establishes, maintains, and trains on standards for product data, procedures and policies for the part-create processes. Other Duties/Responsibilities: -Performs other operations or functions as directed by management.
-Possess a 4-year degree or have 5-7 years’ experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Customer Service. -Working knowledge of all Business Units within Abrasives North America. -Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook). -Experience with Oracle/SQL and database analytics systems (Microstrategy) experience is preferred. -Must have strong analytical skills, coupled with an inquisitive and pro-active nature. -Must be adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced team environment. -Must have strong project management skills, including organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills -Must be self-motivated and demonstrate the ability to work independently with little supervision.
