Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, this position is responsible for developing and executing the external growth strategy of Saint-Gobain ADFORS. In this role, you will explore emerging trends that will affect the business competitive/market landscape, share your insights and provide recommendation for future growth opportunities. A key focus will be on fostering downstream developments for the current and future fiberglass yarn capacity through merger and acquisition (M&A) initiatives and capex expansion justification. The incumbent will also explore new yarn and fabric forming technologies and ensure all our initiatives are in line with our sustainability goals.

What will you do in this position?

  • Study market and competitive trends through research and industry networks in order to identify adjacent growth areas.

  • Maintain M&A pipeline of key acquisition targets from end to end. Engage with new and/or active targets. Conduct analysis of targets, strategic fit, and recommend business evaluation/actions/timeline.

  • Present business models & strategic plans to maximize profitability of downstream use of fiberglass yarn capacity.

  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and manufacturers of alternative or new fabric technologies, chemistry coatings, and reinforcement yarns. Identify & recommend uses and strategic fits. Create business justification cases for new technologies.

  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and manufacturers of complementary sourced items that can be marketed with current ADFORS manufactured retail product offerings.

  • Oversee the annual strategic planning process, hands-on preparation of the ADFORS Strategic Plans and Budget presentations for the Saint-Gobain executive committee.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications. MBA preferred.  5-7 years’ work related experience within the Technical Fabrics field and at least 1-2 years of experience specifically in mergers and acquisitions or strategic planning. Must have a valid drivers license and passport for travel up to 30% of the time, including international travel.
