Utility Operator - 2nd Shift

The Material Handler is responsible for the movement of raw material, stock and finished goods to and from assigned areas.

• Adhere to all safety procedures and best manufacturing practices

• Obtain raw stock from the warehouse.

• Unwrap all rolls to be loaded on the coaters

• Supply all necessary cores and raw materials to the coaters.

• Assist coating operators with loading and unloading the coaters

• Package all rolls unloaded from coaters

• Complete all utility oriented paperwork

• Observe routine operation of coater equipment while coating operators are on break and notify appropriate personnel of any potential problems with equipment

• Cut and deliver retain samples and customer outturn samples

• Overtime may be required

• Cleaning of equipment when necessary

• Housekeeping duties in specific work area and general plant

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of high school degree or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 1 year related work experience required.

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, job folders, and memos.

• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations and small groups.

• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations to include conversions, weight measurements, volume, and distance.
