The Warehouse Associate is responsible for picking, packaging, and preparing items for shipment. They are responsible for ensuring the correct product is being packaged with the proper packaging supplies. Warehouse Associates are responsible for providing accurate inventory and accurate packaging information.
This position is 1st shift. The schedule runs Monday – Friday is 8:30AM-5:00PM
Further Responsibilities include:
Pick orders accurately based on packing list/shipment orders.
Package and label finished products according to work orders or sales orders.
Pack orders for shipment.
Create labels for shipments and packaging.
Palletize orders and shrink-wrap and/or nylon strap.
Inspect material for proper part numbers and quantities. Write and maintain records as required for accuracy.
Maintain supply of packaging materials at tables.
Advise supervisor of low stock levels of shipping supplies.
Use UPS scale
Distribute material received to proper areas.
Document production time when required
Maintain batch and lot traceability.
Understand and follow all departmental procedures. Verification of orders for accuracy and completeness for shipping.
Maintains good housekeeping.
Must be able to be certified on fork lift and electric pallet jack operations.
Perform cycle counts and maintain a high level of inventory accuracy.
Overtime is required when necessary.
Other related duties as requested by supervisor.
The ability to perform QAD transactions via computer may result in additional compensation.
High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) is preferred, not required.
Good math skills.
Must have the ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in the English language.
Must be able to operate equipment; Forklift, Electric Pallet Jack, Manual Pallet Jack, SAMCO Cutter.
Must be able to spot and identify differences between part and lot numbers.
Ability to work in a respectful way in a collaborative environment.
Lifting Requirement of 35 lbs, weights above 35 lbs require assistance.
