    Job Summary

    We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Warehouse Manager who is a hands-on passionate leader that will provide strategic and tactical direction for our Milton Warehouse. This includes accountability for inbound and outbound freight. The successful candidate will develop and execute strategies to increase customer satisfaction, safety, on time delivery, productivity, cost structure that are consistent with annual and long term objectives.

    You will oversee and promote effective Health, Safety programs and practices, that ensure high standards of site safety are established and sustained- because that is one our deeply held values. Driving the site to achieve/surpass customer and financial commitments will be key and possible through effective leadership, collaboration, and driving culture change towards continuous improvement mindset throughout the organization.

    What you will do:

    • Manage all aspects of warehouse operations to ensure on time delivery of quality products while minimizing cost. Provide effective communication of direction, goals, plans, targets and results to all employees.
    • Develop strategy that delivers short and long term progression of results attainment and develop a culture of engaged colleagues that understand and are committed to our customer experience.
    • Effectively lead a team of warehouse employees, including hiring, delegation, training, performance management.
    • Lead site safety engagement, focus and commitment to zero. Establish and oversee EHSS systems to ensure that all buildings, equipment and grounds are maintained in good and safe operating condition while ensuring the environment is protected
    • Communicate in a timely manner- delays or variances in inbound/outbound freight to the appropriate stakeholders
    • Plan warehouse layout and space requirements in order to prevent loss or damage, and to achieve full warehouse optimization.
    • Manage an annual budget or capital investment plan for warehousing functions across the organization.
    • Assess the need for, and arrange the purchase of, moving equipment like trailers, forklifts, crash pads, dollies, and so on.
    • Implement and monitor performance metrics for shipping and receiving.

    Required Qualifications

    What you bring:

    • 5+ years of direct work experience in a warehouse management function or supply chain management position.

    • University degree in business, with a focus on manufacturing, warehousing, transportation, supply chain management, inventory control, or materials management. (desired)

    • Experience in leading teams through effective leadership

    • Experience with radio frequency ID systems (RFID), bar code systems, and electronic data interchange (EDI) may be required.

    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

    • Solid project management skills are essential.

    • Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing/ 6 Sigma
