Product Supervisor

Job Description: What This Position Is All About: Saks Fifth Avenue adds thousands of new items to the Saks.com each week and the Product Supervisors are the engines behind initiating product movement through the digital item lifecycle. The Product Supervisor is responsible for liaising with vendors, merchants, studio and digital partners, and ultimately responsible for ensuring timely publication of items to Saks.com. The Product Supervisor is supported by the Sample Assistant in setting up, styling and pushing items physically through the photo studio and systemically through the digital item lifecycle. Cross-functional partners at this level include: Merchants External Vendor Account Reps Item Setup / Copy Associates Studio / Photography Managers Who You Are: Proactively works with vendors to ensure all merchandise is shot and copy attributes are complete, 8 weeks prior to go live date (launch date, pre-order date, start ship date) Maintains Master Sample Tracking Sheet for each product purchased for Saks.com by fashion season Maintains and sets up all items in product management system Completes the turn-in styling instruction sheets for the photo studio by partnering with the buying office and vendor Partners with cross-functional partners (item setup, buying office, studio, creative teams) to ensure timely publication of products Manages the master turn-in calendar by working in partnership with the manager and buying offices Proactively manages the flow of samples and turn-in schedule to minimize peaks and valleys Supports the Manager & Director on any and all Sample Management special projects (European Shoots, VPI, time studies, physical inventory) Provides status reports on the workflow summary report and project progress updates to the Manager / Director You Also Have: Demonstration of analytical skills, business acumen and previous experience in a similar role at an ecommerce retailer is highly preferred Persistence and resilience working with vendors on sample and copy data acquisition Understand the importance of relationship management and demonstrate potential to be strong in this area Highly competent with Google Docs/Sheets, MS Word and Excel Ability to multi-task to meet concurrent deadlines A passion for product and for always exceeding internal and external customer expectations Passionate about making Saks.com the premier luxury fashion destination Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and, if hired, present proof of vaccination prior to beginning employment Your Life and Career at Saks: Exposure to rewarding career advancement opportunities, from retail to supply chain, to digital or corporate.
