    This role encompasses architecture, design, implementation, and testing to ensure we build products right and release them with high quality. You will be working with a group of world-class engineers to build the breakthrough features our customers will love, adopt and use while keeping our trusted platform stable and scalable.

    The successful candidate will have:

    • Proven experience within the marketing technologies domain, with focus on areas like content management, classification and taxonomy, Customer Identity experiences

    • Track record of delivering transformative solutions across complex platform ecosystems.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and build innovative solutions for the Salesforce.com website platform, creating engaging experiences for visitors and customers exploring the Salesforce ecosystem

    • Develop scalable frontend components and systems using modern web standards (HTML5, ES6+, CSS3) and component-based architectures

    • Drive technical excellence by mastering and continuously improving our development processes, culture, and codebase

    • Lead frontend architecture decisions and ensure code quality through design reviews and collaborative engineering practices

    • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, UX designers, and performance engineers to deliver customer-focused features while maintaining platform stability and scalability

    • Mentor and guide team members on frontend technologies, development practices, and engineering excellence

    • Present and defend technical designs to stakeholders and provide constructive feedback on others' architectural proposals

    • Champion quality through comprehensive testing strategies, automation frameworks, and performance optimization

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • 6+ years of production frontend development experience on large-scale, complex web applications

    • Expert-level proficiency with modern HTML5, JavaScript (ES6+), CSS3, and TypeScript

    • Strong React experience (Angular, Vue, Ember also considered)

    • Modern build toolchain expertise - Vite, Webpack, Rollup, esbuild, npm/Yarn

    • Mobile-first responsive design and cross-browser compatibility experience

    • Web performance optimization and security best practices knowledge

    • Component architecture understanding - MVC patterns, design systems, web components

    • Testing expertise - Test Driven Development, Jest, Playwright, Cucumber, and frontend testing methodologies

    • Strong communication skills for technical documentation and cross-team collaboration

    • A related technical degree required

    Preferred:

    • Design system experience - building and scaling component libraries from scratch

    • Identity and authentication systems experience - OAuth, SAML, SSO, user management, security protocols

    • Accessibility champion - WCAG compliance and inclusive design implementation

    • Internationalization/localization implementation experience

    For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $125,700 to $216,700.

    For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $137,100 to $236,500.
