Work with leaders across Salesforce to help enrich our sales-centric culture by empowering our sales teams to drive profitable customer outcomes.

The Global Incentive Compensation (GIC) Manager role interacts with a range of stakeholders and will manage several tasks/projects simultaneously. Ultimately, we are looking for someone with a proven track record of managing multiple large/global/complex initiatives involving business partners while maintaining an effective strategic approach and project plan execution. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys the process of identifying and implementing solutions to complex issues, wants to interact with a variety of business stakeholders, and is eager to contribute to the programs and projects that help drive our company’s incredible growth.

Primary responsibilities for this role will include leading initiatives designed to ensure alignment with high growth strategies, collaborating with business partners to ensure transparent and accurate employee compensation information, serving as liaison for the broader GIC team with the legal team to provide guidance on compensation-related matters, and delivering process improvements in order to assist our business in scaling to meet the needs of our growing sales organization. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, demonstrate initiative, work well in a group, and be able to work at the rapid pace of Salesforce.

Your Impact

  • Serve as a trusted advisor for GIC teams and other business partners regarding incentive compensation policies
  • Collaborate with Legal to review contract document updates and compensation-related matters
  • Partner with other teams on cross-functional projects in order to develop process efficiencies
  • Lead cross-functional incentive compensation initiatives, collaborating with Plan Design, Compensation Administration, Finance, Legal, Sales Strategy, and Employee Success (HR)
  • Translate business/operational needs to systems teams
  • Contribute to sales training and sales enablement content (e.g., videos, presentations, FAQs)
  • Represent team in Change Management, Business Process Improvement (BPIs), and Advisory Committee

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience in a related field and 2+ years of management experience
  • 4+ years of Legal or Sales Compensation experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects to on-time completion
  • Excellent verbal and written communication as well as receptive listening skills, with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to a wide variety of audiences
  • Ability to multi-task and work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, rapid-growth environment
  • Great teammate who is able to collaborate with virtual, global, and cross-functional teams
  • Very high attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • JD or MBA degree preferred
  • Experience working with policies, contracts, and legal issues
  • Experience participating in and delivering process improvements
  • Successful experience in leading and developing people to enable success
  • High degree of motivation, flexibility, and creativity
  • Ability to thrive in the “gray” area
