Salesforce - Procurement team is looking to hire a Procurement Senior Analyst or a Procurement Analyst position to enhance Strategic Sourcing activities for Salesforce In-direct services sourcing commodities, such as HR, Corporate Professional Services(CPS), Real Estate & Workplace Services (REWS), Marketing, and Meetings & Events to take our service to the next level at Salesforce. This position will report to the Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager based in Tokyo, Japan.
 

Key Performance Objectives:
 

• Support the development and execution of sourcing strategies related to the category spend areas, including analyzing spend data, market research, formulate strategies to optimize and rationalize spend, recommend and run RFx, and negotiate contract terms with suppliers.

• Overseeing and understanding key metrics and analytics to provide input to current processes to find ways to be more efficient.

• Execute Category Strategy which includes spend/ metrics data, industry benchmarks and future budgets to provide recommendations to the business on savings ideas, supplier rationalization and operational improvement for the category. 

• Influencing strategies and decisions and leading complex, highly visible, negotiations with strategic and key suppliers, including the establishment of service levels, key performance indicators, price and term negotiations in order to mitigate risk and increase savings. 

• Managing all engagements and relationships with major suppliers, and driving quarterly business reviews with key suppliers, in collaboration with key business partners and ensuring their service levels.

• Establishing and expanding relationships with Salesforce stakeholders, and collaborating with Legal, Ethics & Integrity,, Accounting, Finance & Strategy, AP, Risk management as necessary.

• Navigate and process complex spreadsheets or datasets, and be able to provide insights and recommendations based on data analytics. 

• Review and approve/reject Purchasing Requisitions according to internal policies and requisites.

• Drive Sustainability activities with suppliers in line with the global Supplier Sustainability Team’s directions.

Position Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing/Global Procurement, experience managing an indirect purchasing category, and reviewing, analyzing, drafting and negotiating contract terms. 

• Strong command of writing and speaking in Japanese and English. 

• Polished negotiation skills & knowledge of supplier management, segmentation and strategic sourcing practices.

• Analytical skills managing and discerning data, making presentations （in Japanese and English) & formulating strategies. 

• Work well under pressure, ability to multitask and a skilled time manager that is comfortable working under minimal supervision and self starter.

• Team player, proactive and flexible mindset.

• Comfortable making presentations (In Japanese and English) and establishing relationships with different internal and external stakeholders such as business customers, legal resources, suppliers, etc.

Preferred qualifications:

• Knowledge of salesforce is desired but not required.

• Experience in building category strategies, sourcing pipelines, and saving methodology is desirable.
