The role duly reports to the office of Chief Operations Officer (COO) in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) and the ANZ Leadership Team to ensure alignment with the Office of Equality. As the RAP Leader, you will be responsible for developing, driving, and delivering the Salesforce ANZ RAP. You will lead all RAP activity as well as influencing, driving, and support internal collaborators to deliver on our commitments.
You will lead our RAP Governance Groups, RAP Working Committees and the External First Nations Advisory. You will partner with work-stream leads across the ANZ business to drive accountability, ensure progress, establish reporting frameworks, identify barriers to delivery and areas for further impact.
You will bring specialised strategic recommendations to our Governance Groups which advance Salesforce’s impact and contribution to a reconciled Australia. Critical to this is ensuring recommendations are developed in consultation with First Nations employees, customers, partners, consultants and communities.
A strong passion and deep understanding of diversity, inclusion and equality with First Nations Engagement is crucial.
A strong understanding of the challenges faced by organisations with broad stakeholders in building a Reconciliation Action Plan coupled with lived experience of Aboriginal cultural values and heritage.
Experience in strengthening relationships with senior leaders. Ability to influence the business to increase leadership dedication and accountability for Reconciliation efforts
A successful track record of strategic project management initiatives with tangible outcomes in ambiguity with multiple collaborators in a highly matrixed and fast-growing organisation.
Experience supporting a Technology or Product organisation is a plus, but not required.
Strategy:
Advance Salesforce’s RAP by leading the Salesforce RAP Governance Groups (Executive Group, Working Group, Local Implementation Group and First Nations External Advisory) to deliver on our current Innovate commitments and forge a path forward.
Apply expertise and key findings to deliver against broader equality initiatives
Ensure effective consultation and engagement with First Nations peoples so that equity and self-determination are at the core of our strategy.
Provide strategic mentorship to Employee Success, Employee Relations, Procurement, Government Affairs, Alliances and Channels, Real Estate and Workplace Services, Communications and Marketing RAP Leads.
Partner with our employee resource group WINDforce (Worldwide Indigenous Network of Diversity), the global Office of Equality and the New Zealand Leadership team to assist with regional strategies.
Develop an ongoing RAP Management Plan and maintain RAP Terms of Reference.
Co-ordinate, develop materials for and lead all the Salesforce RAP Governance Groups (Executive Group, Working Group, Local Implementation Group and External Advisory).
Develop overarching reporting frameworks and processes to scale the progression of the RAP, including the yearly report to Reconciliation Australia and Salesforce website update.
Develop an ongoing RAP Management Plan, maintain RAP Terms of Reference, chair our four RAP Governance Groups, and develop materials for and lead all Governance Group meetings.
Meet with RAP Key Focus Areas (KFA) leads to confirm actions, commitments, provide data-driven reports on the progression of the RAP.
Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to expand on the efforts currently underway with precision, accountability and impact.
Establish and maintain reporting systems to measure the cumulative impact, and success of existing initiatives and inform opportunities for new initiatives. Manage RAP external reporting process to Reconciliation Australia and produce an impact report for our external website.
In collaboration with COE’s review existing organisational policies and recommend improvements to improve inclusivity within the workplace for First Nations peoples.
Lead the ongoing collaboration with First Nations community leaders and key stakeholders, including government, partners, customers and other leading RAP organisations, to own effective relationships that will support the strategic direction of the RAP.
Act as the key point of contact for external partners and the assessment of new opportunities.
Engage staff in reconciliation by providing strategic mentorship and oversight to organisation-wide RAP strategies in partnership with Salesforce Equality Group WINDforce, internal communications and employee engagement.
Partner with Salesforce Equality Group WINDforce (Worldwide Indigenous Network of Diversity), Communications, PR, Marketing and Government Affairs to promote and engage staff in RAP activity, build cultural proficiency and drive systemic change advocacy internally and externally.
Facilitate representation at key events which advance progress towards a reconciled Australia.
