Description:       

Salesforce uses our platform for sales enablement, customer sales and the sales commissioning processes. The Global Incentive Compensation (GIC) team is the global leader for sales commission policies and processes for all of our direct and indirect sales teams. The GIC team has deployed the Xactly commission system globally through a centralized process with local set-up and support. This position is the primary point of contact for sales management and account executives, including practical application and interpretation of the compensation plans, and resolving issues. This team will drive training, communications and policy and process improvements across the sales teams. This position will partner cross-functionally on process improvements with the GIC Design team, Quota & Capacity Planning team, Employee Success, Sales Strategy Team and Payroll.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the monthly commissions process for our direct and indirect sales team. This includes understanding and applying the commission plan consistently, maintaining quotas and rates, ensuring Xactly commissions calculations comply with the plan. 

  • Resolve case inquiries and be a trusted advisor to our sales team. Frequent communication with account executives and sales management via commission cases.

  • Provide recommendations to sales and the internal comp management team regarding exceptions requests and case critical issues.

  • Research and resolve crediting and commission questions, including calculating and processing adjustments in Excel and in our Xactly commission system.

  • Communicate with sales managers, account executives, including VPs to drive requirements, communications, process improvements and customer satisfaction. 

  • Deliver training, commissions policy and process and related documentation for the teams supported. Collaborate with sales management and global commission teams. 

  • With each new fiscal year, participate in rolling-out new plans, including training, UAT of Xactly and updating policies and processes. 

  • Understand data models, related objects and sales order processes within Salesforce to be able to analyze gaps and implement processes based on existing functionality.

Required Skills/Experience

  • Minimum of 2+ years related experience.

  • Must have strong Excel skills, including creating analyses, alternatives and detailed calculations of commission payments.

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent 

  • Strong problem solving and superior critical thinking skills, the ability to connect the dots.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Japanese and English.

Desired Skills/Experience 

  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines. 

  • Experience with crediting commissions, incentive commission plans and structures preferred.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

  • Works independently and as a strong team player.

  • Adaptable to tight deadlines and ability to prioritize appropriately.

  • Proven record of process improvements to eliminate the manual efforts via automation would be an added advantage.

  • Experience in automated sales commissions systems and their set-up and operation is a plus (https://e.g. Xactly, Callidus, Oracle EIM, etc.).
