Job Details

Job Duties:

Take personal responsibility for the availability and reliability of our services. Actively participate and influence the roadmap on capacity planning, monitoring, scaling, infrastructure, code deployment and release planning. Provide technical support to multiple product development teams with infrastructure/platform needs. Work in conjunction with multiple teams to make sure that the infrastructure and the applications that depend on it work harmoniously together. Author tools that reliably manage infrastructure and write clean, reusable code. Work closely with the development teams to define tools, processes, and implementation to support fast iterative software development. Work independently to add cloud infrastructure hardware to the production environment. Manage people, project scope, timeline, resources, budget, customer success in accordance with plans and company's process framework. Work closely with internal stakeholders to maximize product quality opportunities for existing customers. Drive corrective measures proactively if non-compliance is observed in the project(s), program, or portfolio. Report on project progress against plan, including effort, schedule, milestones, issues, and risks. Coach, mentor, and process training for team members. Analyze project metrics to ensure compliance to quality. Drive corrective measures proactively if non-compliance is observed in the project. Ensuring customer satisfaction and build ongoing relationships with them and manage their expectations. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline, and five (5) years of experience in the field of software or systems engineering or five (5) years of experience in the job offered.

Special Skill Requirements:

(1) Unix/Linux operating system (3 years);

(2) Cloud infrastructure installation and troubleshooting (3 years);

(3) VMware (3 years);

(4) Linux administration (3 years);

(5) Apache administration (3 years);

(6) EMC Avamar (3 years);

(7) Bash (3 years);

(8) Python scripting (3 years);

(9) Disaster recovery (3 years);

(10) process management (3 years); and

(11) resource management (3 years).

Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Education, experience and criminal background checks will be conducted. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.
