The Commerce Cloud Foundations team is seeking a Development Manager to drive the delivery of new features and improve efficiency. In this role, you will manage teams of engineers, focusing on their career growth, mentoring and education. The team will look to you to run the Agile SCRUM process and remove roadblocks. You will work closely with product managers to bring together the overall roadmap with the technical expertise of engineering teams and architects. You will analyze capacity, plan implementation and monitor schedules. This is a key role with significant impact to Commerce Cloud’s overall product strategy. Working as part of this team you will be responsible for driving cutting edge cloud technologies at tremendous scale.
Scalable cloud-based SaaS infrastructure delivered on Java and AWS technologies
Manage a direct team of developers.
Works with Product Management to plan releases and oversees the implementation by the development team.
Resource allocation and balancing
Implements and tracks development deadlines
Negotiates feature sets with development leads and product teams
Identify and manage issues and risk throughout the product development lifecycle
Work with QA/Release management to oversee release readiness.
Review requests and ensure required deliverables, check points, and activities are completed appropriately prior to release
Helps define and enforces development methodology and process
Drives unit-testing process and requirements inside team.
Maintain cross-department communication with key company stakeholders including Support, Client Services, Release Management and other business unit development departments
Recommends budgets to management, including staff use, technology, facility and equipment requirements or improvements
Full people management responsibility, including hiring, promotions, performance and compensation management, and training and development for the overall department
