Earlier this year, we completed the acquisition of Vlocity, a leading provider of industry-specific cloud software built natively on the Salesforce platform, which as of September 30th has been rebranded by Salesforce Industries. It is in this hugely innovative and rapidly growing part of the Salesforce Ohana that we are currently recruiting for this position.
What is a Solution Consultant at Salesforce?
Also known as a "Presales Consultant," "Sales Consultant," or “Sales Engineer”, the Solution Consultant is a key member of the sales team, responsible for leading all aspects of the technical sale, as well as delivering product, technology and industry thought-leadership to companies wishing to digitally transform their business processes and their customer experiences. The Solution Consultant is an experienced industry expert who works closely with the account executive team, professional services team and customer success team to configure, build, demo, architect and articulate the value of our innovative industry solutions to our prospects and customers. In short, it is the Sales Engineer's role to secure product/technology selection.
To accomplish this, you should have a strong desire to set an industry-specific digital vision, translating business objectives into relevant, concrete and value-based recommendations, plus importantly to become a trusted technical advisor to our prospects/customers.
