Are you excited about designing easy-to-use solutions for the complex challenges facing our users? Are you passionate about solving big problems with elegant and beautiful solutions? If these statements resound with you, we would love to meet you.

This visual design role is part of the growing MuleSoft UX design team. In this role you will be working closely with UX designers focused on design system, communications design, and accessibility. You will be working with different designers across the different areas of the MuleSoft product, visual designers across Salesforce, and becoming an integral influencer of the visual design practice at MuleSoft. In addition, you’ll...

  • Establish, innovate, and evolve the visual language of the MuleSoft platform and products.

  • Grow the library and language of iconography and illustrations.

  • Be an integral member of the Design System team, helping define architecture, interactions, and standards for design across our products.

  • Build components for the MuleSoft design system in Figma.

  • Work with the Communications Design team to deliver and create beautiful, innovative, effective communication through presentations and storytelling.

  • Collaborate with an accessibility team to promote and ensure inclusive design throughout the visual language.

  • Partner with UX designers in order to deliver high-fidelity visions and specifications that bring experiences to life utilizing the visual language and design system.

Who you are...

  • Have a strong portfolio that showcases your visual work including delivering solutions for enterprise and other software products.
  • Passionate about creating solutions for complex problems in simple, elegant, and delightful ways through the user experience and visual design.
  • You have an eye for detail, consistency, efficiency, scaling, and how visual design fits into a larger system.
  • An expert in creating compelling visual designs that are backed by considerations for typography, color, iconography, interaction, and motion.
  • Fluent in delivering, communicating, and advocating for visual design practice and principles. You can meaningfully discuss, evolve, and share your understanding of ideas like color, typography, flow, space, balance, hierarchy, and form.
  • A collaborator and someone who builds relationships, setting expectations, and practices a culture of iterative feedback. In this role, you will work with cross-functional teams and designers across different products, and will have to manage your approach, delivery, and collaboration styles across these engagements.
  • A systems-level visual designer that is steeped in the user-centered design process and approaches user experience solutions through the visual lens.
  • You’ve created a broad range of assets from icons and illustrations to high-fidelity user flows, moving your designs throughout a development process, wireframing, prototyping, and specifications and redlining.
  • Experienced in utilizing and contributing to design systems, patterns, and guidelines.
  • Experienced at using design and prototyping tools to translate ideas into working products (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator).
  • Interested in how people leverage a visual language to navigate through a product experience.
