NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs:
If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.
Salary Range:
$86,600 - $166,600
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

In this role, you will work with the Authority Having Jurisdiction for fire protection matters at Sandia. You will use engineering analyses to provide technical justifications for design decisions, fire system life cycle management, and accident analysis. You will have the opportunity to employ the scientific method in performing fire investigations to determine origin and cause. This role will also partner with line management to develop performance-based solutions that ensure mission work aligns with the Department of Energy (DOE) fire safety objectives and the intent of fire and life-safety code requirements.

The Building & Fire Safety Department provides for protection of workers, the public, the environment, and property from fire and its related hazards. We apply integrated technical judgment, requiring the use of the scientific method to recognize problems, collect data through observation and research, and to engineer, innovate, and deliver fire protection solutions, enabling Sandia National Laboratories to accomplish its missions, while protecting workers, the public, the environment, and key national assets. Security Clearance:
