NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs:
If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.
Salary Range:
$72,500 - $139,300
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
What Your Job Will Be Like:
Special Security Operations (05116) is actively seeking a High-Risk Embedded Security Professional to support and manage program security operations. The selected individual will work closely with other security team members; cyber security staff; FIE SSO; physical security SMEs; program management and technical staff, and government sponsors to provide guidance and oversight on special security matters. This person will be responsible for managing and implementing their security program for the area(s) in which they are assigned and NNSA approved procedures. The successful candidate may be required to wear a pager during non-working hours and respond to SNL (CA), as needed, to support security operations.

The CA SNL Field Intelligence Element (FIE) is the support organization and strategic partner enabling the SNL FIE Intelligence and Special Access Programs to solve the most challenging national security problems. The SNL FIE consists of Physical Security, Cyber Security, Program Security, Special Security Office and Information Technology for the NM, CA and MN sites. Intelligence Work (IW) for these areas funded through Program Infrastructure Recovery (PIR) and/or customer funding.

Security Clearance:
