    Position summary

    econometric, and statistical, and public policy principles in analysis of advanced concepts and technologies for nonproliferation, nuclear security, nuclear safeguards, and international export control regimes.

    On any given day you may be called on to:

    • Perform literature searches
    • Use advanced research methods to develop models to answer complex questions
    • Leverage off-the-shelf economic models and assist in development of in-house economic impact analysis software
    • Write reports based upon distilled and synthesized information and analysis of complex source material
    • Other project tasks dependent on successful candidate qualifications and experience.

    Qualifications We Require:

    You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:

    • Earned bachelor's degree
    • Currently attending and enrolled full time in a related accredited graduate program
    • Minimum cumulative GPA of https://3.0/4.0
    • Ability to work up to 30 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer

    Qualifications We Desire:

      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Ability to provide a writing sample upon request
      • Pursuing a degree in economics, computer science, statistics, applied mathematics or a related field
    • Demonstrated ability to independently determine and develop innovative approaches and solutions to a diverse range of problems
    • Interest in applied economics pertaining to national security research areas
    • Programming skills in: Python, SAS, Stata, Matlab, RStudio or similar programming languages
    • Experience with:
    • Macro and micro-economics modeling, econometrics, cost benefit analysis, supply chain analysis, disaster analysis, resilience science, computational economics, operations research
    • Experience using Regional Economic Models Inc., IMPLAN, or other regional economics tools
    • Environmental, or Natural Resource Economics, Energy Economics, Economic Impact Analysis, Defense Economics

    Global Systems Analysis, Research, Capacity Building, and Response is a multi-disciplinary team that works to enhance physical and cybersecurity systems to protect, detect, and recover nuclear and radiological materials around the world.     Security Clearance:
