Qualifications We Require:

You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:

• Currently attending and enrolled full time in a related accredited undergraduate program
• Minimum cumulative GPA of https://3.0/4.0
• Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer
• https://U.S. citizenship

Qualifications We Desire:

• Enrollment in a university and working towards Engineering or Science degree
• Programming knowledge; experience with python, matlab, R, or similar
• Experience using CADD and/or GIS Software; AutoCAD or SolidWorks, GIS Mapping (ArcGIS or other)
• Strong customer service and teamwork values
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with others under minimal supervision
• A working knowledge of explosives safety regulations and industry explosives safety standards (DoD, DOE, IME, MISHA, NASA…)
• Previous experience with manufacturing, R&D/process development, construction, or industrial maintenance activities.

The Sandia National Laboratories (SNL) Safety and Health Engineering (ES&H) Program provides the tools and expertise necessary to control occupational health hazards that may occur during the course of work, while also ensuring SNL meets contractual and promulgated worker safety and health requirements.
