NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs:
If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.
Salary Range:
$101,400 - $201,400 *Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate¿s experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

The selected candidate will work on Radio Frequency (RF) projects in RF design and testing, antenna design and testing, and electromagnetic (EM) analysis. Projects will also include designing systems and components for High Power Microwave (HPM) applications as well as evaluating the effectiveness of HPM sources and vulnerabilities of systems to an HPM attack.

Due to the nature of the work the candidate must be able to work onsite. Travel to sponsor sites, field testing, training, and conference attendance is required for this position. Organizations Directed Energy Missions (05497), Directed Energy Applications (5498), and Directed Energy Assessments (05499) are high performance, multi-disciplinary teams dedicated to pushing the frontiers of electromagnetic attack and defensive technology. These three departments form a larger team called the Directed Energy Enterprise. Our primary areas of interest include high-power electromagnetic systems, compact pulsed power systems, radio frequency sources, antennas, and electronic effects phenomena. Security Clearance:
