Subcontract Manager, Mission Services (Mid-Career) Campus Recruiting

Bidder Eligibility:

This Limited Term Employee (LTE) position is a temporary position for one year term, which may be renewed at Sandia's discretion up to a maximum of seven years.

Individuals in LTE positions may bid on regular Sandia positions as internal candidates, and in some cases may be converted to regular career positions during their term if warranted by ongoing operational needs, continuing availability of funds, and satisfactory job performance.

This job posting is at the Senior level. Member level employees are not eligible for movement into this job. If a Principal level employee applies and is selected, they will be moved into the Senior level and their salary will be adjusted if necessary. Level promotions are not permitted on this requisition.

Employees must remain in their current position for one year before applying for a new position, with the exception of student interns. Application of this requirement will not supersede collective bargaining agreements. NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs:

If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.

If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.

Salary Range:

$73,900 - $122,100 *Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate¿s experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

What Your Job Will Be Like:

The Sandia Mission Services Talent Acquisition Team (MSTAT) is seeking Subcontract Managers. This team is active in identifying candidates with relevant academic and work experience in an effort to meet our staffing needs and objectives for either current or near-term positions.

Selected applicants will be interviewed by a subcommittee of managers. Subsequently, successful applicants will be provided to managers for placement in positions across the Laboratory. There may be positions that allow for either virutal or telecommuting opportunities. There also may be positions that do require reporting onsite due to the nature of the work.

Candidates are expected to team with others to support Sandia's mission by adding value, improving operations, offering innovative solutions and appropriately managing risk for the corporation.

Interested applicants should be currently enrolled and pursuing either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.

The Subcontract Manager role is a key part of the Mission Procurement and Mission Enabling Procurement which manages the implementation and maintenance of all purchasing business systems as well as the functions of cost/price analysis and contract reviews.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

• Oversee the administration of high-value contracts from placement through final closeout.
• Partner with members of Sandia’s scientific, engineering, supply, legal, and financial communities to identify opportunities and challenges that can or should be addressed through the acquisition process.
• Manage supplier performance, interactions, communications, and relationships.
• Makes and documents complex source selection decisions.

Qualifications We Require:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline plus five or more years of directly related experience; or Master's degree in relevant discipline plus one or more years of directly related experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a required US DOE L-level security clearance.

• Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize a variety of tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
