WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
The Associate - Private Debt Mobilization (PDM) - Global Debt Financing (GDF) will work on developing and managing the distribution, underwriting and distribution commitments and rotation of private debt instruments across different products (PF, AF, CRE, Corporate debt, etc.) for transactions both in North America.
The candidate will support different vertical managers on assessing underwriting and distribution risk for private debt related assets. This will include designing syndication and distribution strategies and contacting investors (in coordination with other colleagues, obtaining relevant risk approvals, executing documentation and managing internal expectations and timing)
Develops relationships with prospective lenders to ensure adequate market demand for the private debt origination
Offer underwriting and structuring advice in respect of all private debt assets so the assets can be distributed
Oversees junior level staff from a financial, operational, competitive and industry perspective
Supports managers on new business development opportunities related to PDM activity (e.g. creation of SPVs to transfer loan positions, launching global/local initiatives, explore other forms of distribution, etc.)
Handles syndication processes for underwritten transactions
Supports managers to identify and develop new channels for private debt assets
Works in the implementation of PDM global initiatives as applicable to the markets that PDM NY covers as a hub
Performs market readings, soundings, periodic market reports, keeps internal files to summarize market benchmark, etc. with the goal to keep track of market trends and adequate market visibility
Prepare internal presentations and external marketing materials to support syndication processes
Keeps record on the internal data site as required for internal reporting
Supports in the presentation of transactions to internal decision forums (e.g. UW Committee)
Works on secondary sales process: from investor finding to execution of trades.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent field, or equivalent work experience
5-9+ years Business Development, Product Specialist - Credit Sales Management, or related experience
Ability to analyze/understand financial solutions and credit profiles
Ability to influence and drive complex initiatives and manage logistics with internal stakeholders
Ability to translate data into information
Ability to travel within assigned territory as required
Ability to work remotely and independently
Demonstrated ability to motivate and influence others
Demonstrated complex contract negotiation/creation skills
Demonstrated successful execution of debt transactions: from origination to documentation closing
Expert presentation and public speaking skills
High level of proficiency in financial calculations, Proficiency in Microsoft office products - Word, Excel and Outlook
Sales oriented, energetic, and self-motivated with strong initiative to achieve sales goals
Self-motivated and adept at setting, driving and leading a team to execute pipeline growth success
Strong analytical / problem solving skills
Strong organizational skills and detail orientation, as well as analytical skills
Strong relationship management and negotiation skills
Very strong interpersonal communication skills, complemented by both excellent verbal and written communication

For NYC Job Applicants: The base annual salary range for this position is $161,000-$218,500. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
