    Position summary

    ETDs Operations & Business Support AssociateNew York, United States of America

    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

    Responsibilities:

    • Support day-to-day operational needs for Futures & Options oversight of product processing, exercise/assignment, corporate actions, clearing, and settlement.

    • Oversight for reviewing reconciliations and balancing controls across all internal and external accounts and systems, provided by operations outsourced teams.

    • Ensure proper Margin, Collateral calculations and monetary movements between our customers and the custodians we have a relationship with

    • Resolve daily incidents in the activity, investigate breaks, ensure street-matching & comparison

    • Partner with other Operations and Middle Office colleagues as well as business areas and internal stakeholders on issues and improvements.

    Specialized Knowledge:

    • Detailed understanding of “Self-Clearing” Listed Options (OCC) process and flows.

    • Experienced in Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETDs) clearing process dealing with Central Counterparty Clearing House (CCPs), as well as Equity Self-Clearance and Settlement process (DTCC, NSCC/CNS).

    • Proven track record implementing OCC, NSCC and DTCC memberships or CMTA agreements.

    • Ability to work close to traders and sales in a fast-paced environment.

    • Familiarity with the following systems considered a strong plus: ION XTP, CME/ICE clearing tools, Broadridge (IMPACT, BPS & OAES), OCC Encore, DTCC (Web Settlement & PBS)

    Qualifications:

    • Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or above (work equivalent will be considered)

    • 5+ Years’ Experience Working at a Futures Commissions Merchant (FCM) and/or Self-Clearing Broker Dealer / Agency with activity on Listed Derivatives

    • Ability to develop resolution to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity.

    • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communicative and customer service skills.

    • Exhibits an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness in decision making and problem solving.

    • Strong computer literacy skills (especially Microsoft Office)

    • FINRA series SIE/99 (will be a plus), Not required

    • Spanish Speaker (will be a plus), Not required 

    Education:

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business or related field

    Work Experience:

    • Experience Working at a Futures Commissions Merchant (FCM) and/or Self-Clearing Broker Dealer / Agency with activity on Listed Derivatives, 5-9+ years

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Excellent communication, good organizational skills, and attention to detail

    • Solid knowledge/skills of Microsoft Office Suite and various bank systems

    • Ability to adapt quickly and be a team player

    • Working knowledge in Capital Markets

    • Ability to meet deadlines

    • Strong knowledge of the Listed Derivatives products and markets

    • Ability to review and interpret legal documentation supporting these products

    • In depth knowledge of market initiatives to streamline and automate Middle Office support functions

    • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for Listed Derivatives

    • Knowledge of Banking & Markets Regulations and Standard Practices

    Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking.
