WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

The Regulatory Reporting Associate, Controllership implements solutions and influences others regarding policies, practices and procedures within the Accounting and Regulatory Reporting function.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with different lines of businesses outside of Controllership to review and assess the impacts of transaction on a National Bank and it’s affiliates.

  • Become a resource to the organization on Reg. W topics

  • Provides clear and concise summary of transactions to key stakeholders that include the CAO, Corporate Controller, and SEC reporting team  

  • Implements solutions to existing problems within the reporting team.

  • Influences others regarding policies, practices, and procedures for implementation.

  • Recommends best practices in accounting policies and processes to business lines as needed.

  • Provides well-analyzed and defined recommendations on process improvements to the reporting team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or similar field

  • Work Experience: 5+ years ; Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or similar field within the Banking or Financial Services Industry

Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced knowledge of accounting practices and procedures, including US GAAP/IFRS and regulatory reporting standards.

  • Specific knowledge of Reg. W and its impact on a national banking association is a plus. 

  • Proficient skills in MS Office, MS Excel, MS Outlook.

  • Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.

  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business environment.

  • Ability to adjust to new developments/changing circumstances.

  • Ability to influence others.

  • Ability to lead and coach junior level professionals.
