    We‘re looking for a creative and strategic communications manager to develop and deliver human-centric communications designed to inspire, engage and create strategic alignment for our 14,000+ US employees

    In this role, you’ll be a strategic communications partner to our leaders across Santander’s auto finance business and others. As a senior content strategist and consultant, you’ll help craft proactive and reactive communication strategies delivered in a human and empathetic way. 

    This role will report into the Executive Director, Culture, Engagement and Employer Branding, who oversees Culture and Employee Engagement, Employer Branding, Employee Communications and Corporate Events. The team consists of caring, creative, exceptional talent—in essence, we’re a collection of passionate humans.

    • Develop and lead communication plans that support the company’s top culture, engagement, and employer branding priorities, working closely with the Culture, Engagement and Employer Branding team, the Santander Consumer leadership team, and others.

    • Help evolve the existing communications model to become less hierarchal, more human, with an amplified focus on compelling storytelling.

    • Partner closely with the entire Culture, Engagement & Employer Branding team to deliver an integrated strategy designed to inspire, engage, and inform our US team.

    • Develop strong cross-functional partnerships with Santander Consumer, Real Estate Vehicle Financing, Banco Santander Investments, Audit, Finance, and others to align on priorities, communication goals, channels strategy, and messaging.

    • Occasional travel required for team planning and events, stakeholder engagement and creative campaign development.

    Essential Functions/Responsibility Statements:

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 8+ years’ experience in communications, marketing, and/or journalism

    • Experience developing strategic communications plans and executing against them

    • Experience engaging with and influencing C-level stakeholders

    • Experience managing multiple strategic priorities simultaneously and independently

    • Experience with change management and internal communications

    • Experience building cross-functional relationships

    • Experience working on teams in a highly matrixed organization with shifting priorities

    • Presentation skills

    • Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience supporting HR communications

    • Experience in change management

    Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occassional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. Physically capable of lifting up to fifty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.
