    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

    This Sr. Digital Compliance Advisor role will reside within the Digital Compliance team and serves as a subject matter expert to ensure documents, projects, processes or product initiatives comply with regulatory and legal requirements and enterprise policy. The incumbent performs risk assessments, synthesizes analyses, identifies root cause(s), and provides recommendations to management that influence business solutions.

    • Ensure Compliance by Design in Digital transformation initiatives by embedding in agile teams to provide advice on strategic decisions and design configuration discussions.
    • Partner with product owners and Business Analysts s to provide real-time feedback on epics / user stories and acceptance criteria to the agile.
    • Inform post-launch test strategy and transition to BAU (prioritize testing based on system limitations, compliance or functional defects, coverage, etc.). Focused and targeted testing enables rapid identification of production incidents and reduces potentially significant consumer harm remediation efforts.
    • Serves as a subject matter expert to ensure documents, projects, processes or product initiatives comply with regulatory and legal requirements and enterprise policy.
    • Review that new processes, or changes to existing processes, are reflected in procedures as well as policies, where applicable. Update impacted process maps, risk and control matrices and self-assessments to align to the process updates as the products evolve and additional changes are made .
    • Partners with managers in assigned business unit to respond to reports issued by regulatory agencies or audit.
    • Identifies systemic procedural weaknesses and additional training requirements needed to ensure compliance.
    • Responds to regulatory inquiries and third party examiners.
    • Collaborates across business units within the organization to ensure consistency in policies and procedures.
    • Identifies compliance opportunities and potential solutions. Create easy to understand requirements, trigger terms/words, and functional language for business and technical developer insights.
    • Performs risk assessments, synthesizes analyses, identifies root cause(s), and provides recommendations to management. update impacted process maps, risk and control matrices and self-assessments to align to the process updates as the products evolve and additional changes are made.
    • Provides compliance input on business action plans, projects, or operational requests.
    • Provides insight and guides management on issues.
    • Leads and influence cross functional enterprise projects or compliance teams.
    • Leads efforts to improve standardization and efficiency of responses to regulators.
    • Offers recommendations and makes project related decisions within scope of work assignment.
    • Serves as a resource to team members on escalated issues of unusual nature.
    • Mentors and enhances compliance staff knowledge competencies.
    • Ensures proper implementation of business requirements and identifies outstanding compliance issues.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

    • Work Experience: 9+ Years; Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, or Financial Services in particular in a primarily Digital Environment and/or FinTech

    • Experience operating within an agile framework, compliance/testing/agile tools (Jira, Figma, Confluence, etc.), writing for automated testing (e.g., gherkin language).

    • Experience with challenging the user stories/product functionality and designing a strategy enable compliance and optimize systems / applications.

    • Knowledge of core banking platforms and broader system architecture functionality.

    • Advanced knowledge of regulatory compliance, relevant industry regulations and regulatory data sources.

    • Demonstrated experience facilitating change to achieve measurable results.

    • Demonstrated subject matter expertise compliance opportunities and resolution.

    • Business Line awareness.

    • Detail orientated with the ability to also understand overall strategy.

    • Excellent interpersonal, supervisory, and customer service skills required.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to be adept in identifying and resolving complex risk management problems.

    • Excellent project management skills.

    • Ability to build and foster internal and external relationships.

    • Ability to analyze risk and design efficient control practices to minimize risk.
