Sr Model Governance, Risk and Control AnalystDallas, United States of America
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
The Associate, Policy and Governance provides oversight and governance of pricing, profitability and reporting programs.
Researches, develops and implements competitive pricing programs and/or banking products and services for various lines of business to appropriately price based on risk, deposit, or credit goals while maintaining profitability.
Identify, assess, control, monitor, manage, test, report, remediate and train for continuous improvement and to promote an effective internal control environment and culture of risk and compliance with in the Decision Science Model Governance team leveraging RCSA framework.
Executes a strategic plan for the Model Risk with in Decision Science Model Governance Risk department.
Executes Model Risk & Control measures within the Decision Science Model Governance Risk department, including risk identification, recording and remediation plans/follow up, due diligence, analysis and documentation of supporting evidence and reporting of findings to all areas under Decision Science Model Governance Risk including Pricing Strategy, Model Development, Model Governance & Model Risk Management.
Ensures the execution of appropriate model implementation and testing, and execution of internal control framework in alignment with Model Risk Management standards.
Oversees the reporting to Model Risk Management Committee (MRMC). Ensures appropriate tracking and reporting of all Key Risk indicators presented in MRMC.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
Work Experience: 5+ years ; Model Governance, Project Management, Internal Control, or Internal Audit experience.
Basic SQL, SAS, Python Skills preferred
Expert use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Detailed knowledge of a commercial banks credit and counterparty customer populations, understanding their characteristics according to portfolio (aggregate) credit quality measures and individual customer financial characteristics.
Demonstrated credit analysis skills for understanding/tracking and market risk & modeling skills for evaluating related risk exposures.
Ability to work with large databases and datasets for extraction and conversion into useful final results with original numbers.
Ability to maintain accuracy while handling sensitive data files, working with that data and reconciling final results with original numbers.
Ability to adjust to new developments/changing circumstances.
Ability to build and foster internal relationships.
