    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

    The Client Service Associate (CSA) is a sales support role within the Administration Department of Santander Investments, LLC. The CSA promotes and supports the financial consultant (FC) and the Bank’s clients with the administrative and service functions of the business. The CSA operates remotely in a corporate office; the FC functions within the branch network. As a team, The CSAs collectively assure adequate support to the Firm’s top producing FCs. The CSA Team supports each other and interacts with branch and home office associates as well as clients. A successful CSA understands and excels in all systems and processes as well as policies and procedures and is a great asset to their FC partners. The candidate may have sales experience or aspires to a brokerage sales career. Respect for the client, both our internal partners and external Bank clients is paramount in importance and central to the role. The ability to understand as well as communicate effectively and efficiency is critical to the role.

    RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENTS

    • Provides infrastructure support to several Financial Consultants (FCs) from a corporate location
    • Driven to provide superior service for both internal and external clients
    • Creates internal partnerships with other functional support groups, as well as partnerships with external business partners for the products and services they provide
    • Works efficiently independently as well as in a team environment
    • Applies industry knowledge and problem-solving skills within the framework of the role
    • Manages corporate records
    • Handles customer requests and inquiries
    • Manages the Financial Consultants’ calendars, including scheduling appointments
    • Provides administrative support including faxing, scanning, uploading documents, and data entry

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Associate's Degree; in Finance, Business Administration, Insurance, Economics, Communications or Equivalent field, or equivalent work experience
    • 3+ years of experience in customer service, sales related occupations
    • Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) preferred, or to be obtained within a specified timeframe

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Ability to work independently and set appropriate priorities to meet deadlines
    • Attention to detail
    • Database record maintenance and reporting
    • Excellent communication skills, including strong presentation skills and writing ability
    • Experience coaching and influencing others to achieve goals
    • Maintains appropriate sales licensing
    • P.C. software applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Preparation and presentation of materials
    • Self motivator and creative thinker
    • Strong analytical and evaluative skills with ability to measure program performance and make recommendations for improvement
    • Strong knowledge of sales support and effective sales enhancement techniques within the industry
    • Thorough knowledge of departmental and bank products and services
