Vice President, Investment Banking - U.S. Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)New York, United States of America
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Responsible for supporting senior bankers in developing client relationships, including attracting and retaining new advisory clients and strengthening current relationships. Activities include providing strategic content and advise to clients related to strategic transactions.
The VP, U.S. Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) role will function as a strategic advisor to our clients in M&A situations, and to quarterback the entire M&A process from origination to closing, including, origination, modelling and valuation, management meetings, diligence, financing, tactics and negotiation of definitive of documentation.
Responsibility:
Work with senior bankers and participate in client transactions, projects or assignments as a member of the Investment Banking team
Lead teams in the execution of strategic advisory assignments
Responsible for organizing and analyzing sophisticated financial data used in client proposals and strategic plans
Prepare valuation materials and M&A analyses for pitches and live deals
Lead team in conducting market, economic, & financial research
Supervise team in development of complex financial models for valuation and other purposes
Operate within compliance parameters and demonstrate sound business judgement
Skills:
5+ years of relevant experience
M&A execution experience
Understanding of corporate finance and M&A
Experience related to Energy and Infrastructure a plus
Solid financial modeling and technical capabilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint
Ability to coordinate across multiple teams
Team player and self-starter
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent
MBA, pref.

Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. For NYC Job Applicants: The base annual salary range for this position is $153,000-$220,000. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
